Latest fight News:- A Grudge Match in the making?

The Promoters of Intense fight show are already in talks with the management of T.U.F.A. (Tear Up Fight Academy) shortly after the success of Roman ‘IronMan' Webber’s impressive win last Saturday, to fit the bill of ‘Main Event’.

Allegedly it would appear that Total Dojo fighters are looking to secure a re-match on the next Intense Fighting (I.F.) caged event with one of their Instructors ‘Lee Elliot’. For those who don’t know Lee, he holds a very impressive Shoot Fighting record that’s not to be sniffed at, as you would expect from the Total Dojo stable, coupled with MMA pro wins too.

TUFA’s Interest in ‘I.F.’ the event are prevalent, but ‘Angrrr Management’ and ‘Rough N’ Ready’ fight gym are holding events soon and are also in talks for the Ironman to fit the bill.

However questions are being asked over the weight class. At 93kg Roman Webber is bang on the money- whilst it would appear the ‘Elliot’ needs to make weight for the match. How much he needs to loose is unknown, but internet source ‘MMA universe’ shows him fighting in a 100kg weight division. With approximately 6 weeks to go until the event one would imagine 4 weeks could be spent cutting down to size, a tall order maybe? TUFA coaches are watching closely.

Other matches for other fighters are also available on the next bout.

If you are interested in fighting on the next caged at Intense Fighting event or would like training at Tear Up Fight Academy, please contact John Tomsett on 07753853061 or e-mail tearupfightacademy@yahoo.co.uk

INTENSE FIGHTING 5 CAGED

The Intense Fighting show 'Caged' hosted a massive event on Saturday evening in Peterborough on 19th August 2006. Hundreds of fans travelled for miles to see many warriors fight including the Tear up fight Academy's Roman 'Ironman' Webber who increased his fight record impressively to 1/1/0 (win/loss/draw).
A sellout crowd were certainly not dissapointed with the 12 fight line up, bout 9 of the evening turning out be be the contest of the night.
Typical proffesional MMA rules, like those in the UFC-pemit the use of elbows and knees to a downed opponent- something Samir Medjedula probably wished did not. Samir from Total Dojo Milton Keynes a fearsome MMA fighter with an impressive record and extensive training with the legendary Danny Batten (UK MMA Champion and veteran) put up a fantastic first round fight- really taking the fight to Webber.
Keeping his composure in first five minutes Roman overcome all of Samir's submission attempts and traded tit for tat strikes standing up and when grounded.
Round one even.
Staying relaxed Roman defended double leg take down attempts with an effective holding technique whilst reining blows elbows knees and fists down to his opponents kidney area.
A referee break in concern for Samir's wellbeing after close call elbow shots to the side of his head saw the to fighters stand up once again. Roman breaking down the man again after seeing the look in his eyes with the same defense from take down attempt as before, this time leading to both men scrapping all the way to the canvas- Samir taking the worst of Ground and Pound due to Webber trapping one arm and raining blows to his chin through the other making it impossible for him to defend.
After a approximately 15 seconds of heavy blows 'Ironman' won due to Referee stoppage.
